National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA)

This recruitment ad, translated into a brochure, was created while working as the “behind the scenes” Creative Director for a diversity marketing agency. I handled the creative direction and design, as well as all of the copy writing. As the world's leading advocate of fire prevention, NFPA’s mission, in a nut shell, is public safety. So to target new talent for the organization, I focused on the deeper value of the career, which is the involvement in saving lives. Who hasn’t dreamed of being a super hero, saving the world from impending doom? (Come on, admit it!)

To target new talent for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, I focused this recruitment campaign on their main mission: transforming the health care industry. The graphic and headline represent the impact that each individual has in the transformation process, and the ripple effect of their involvement in this important and critical issue of making quality health care affordable for everyone.

In an effort to push my design business to new levels, I decided to start doing some listening and learning from successful independent designers out there. I was so inspired by uniqueness and individuality. What separated each designer from the other was the incorporation of their passions into their work. That’s when I discovered a missing element in my business: ME! How could I incorporate my passion for fitness and my individuality into my business? Bootcamp Designer! It fits me like a glove. My new brand was then incorporated into my website. I also created graphics from the word “HOOAH” to be incorporated onto t-shirts and other self-promotional pieces to agencies and studios that might be able to utilize my design services. I also created a postcard design and “Don’t Quit” poster..
Neighborhood Health Plan (NHP)

Neighborhood Health Plan needed targeted diversity recruitment for their organization. The strict branding guidelines made the assignment a challenge — but I do like challenges. The strict branding guidelines specified the types of imagery that must be used and images that cannot be used, the exact layout, the fonts, etc. With these guidelines in mind, the creativity came into play with how the headline worked with the graphic to convey an effective message to the target audience. I broke the audience down into two categories: “Audience One” is the clinical workers (nurses, case workers, etc.) with the messaging focused on making a difference in the health care industry and caring for its members. The headline was designed to work with the graphic to represent the deeper value of a career at NHP. “Audience Two” is for the technology department employee with messaging that focused more on career advancement, rewards and recognition.
Global View Communications
Project: Brand IdentityArt Director: Christine Case
Global View Communications, a mulitcultural communications firm located in Pawtucket, RI, needed a fresh, modern look for their organization. The client requested that the globe concept be included in the logo, so I approached the design giving the globe a modern and three-dimensional appearance with clean typography. Stacking the words in the company name, which is quite long, gave the text more real estate and when reduced in size it remains legible. The graphics used for designing the website, magazine ads and other collateral all tied in to the look of the logo: modern, clean and easilty recognizable.

Rockland Trust needed a diversity recruitment postcard to be handed out at career fairs and similar events. The design was also used for a tradeshow booth as well as various newspaper advertisements.
